Land ho!



After the longest and scariest van ride of our lives (during which we learn that in Mexico, lanes are really just vague guidelines) we finally make it to the resort.

Akumal means Place of the Turtle, so there is a turtle on pretty much everything down there.

And finally, the view from our room...AHHHH...
The palapa on the left is the one we camped out in almost all week. Andy had to get up early (5:30-ish) to compete in the Towel Game Olympics, in which one races to place one's towels in a palapa before they are all gone. No palapa=no shade!
